Terms and Conditions
These T&Cs govern the reservation of rooms on the site www.jean-de-bruges.fr, from the day the order is placed by the customer.
All reservations for rooms on the site are governed by these Terms and Conditions and those on the secure.reservit.com site.
By reserving a room, a customer fully accepts these T&Cs, the T&Cs of the secure.reservit.com site, and this site’s privacy and data protection policies.
These T&Cs can be changed at any time.
The applicable T&Cs are those in force on the day of the reservation.
- Reservation & deposit
1.1. Reservation and payment of deposit
This site allows customers to reserve rooms at the JEAN DE BRUGES hotel.
When booking, the customer agrees to provide accurate and complete information.
All reservations will only be considered effective with a credit card imprint.
Confirmation of the reservation is subject to the actual collection of the sums due by the customer.
The date of the reservation is deemed to be the date of the confirmation by SAS JEAN DE BRUGES, sent by email to the customer after payment for the order has been received, provided that the email address provided on the reservation form does not contain any errors.
1.2. Room features & availability
All information and features relating to the hotel rooms are specified on the site and/or communicated by the hotelier.
Information, as well as photographs, illustrations etc. communicated via the hotel website are for reference only.
The rooms available are those shown as such on the hotel website.
1.3. Time of arrival and departure
Arrivals can be made between 4:00pm and 9:00pm (contact the hotel for arrivals after 9 p.m.) and must be vacated by 11:00am on the last day of the reservation.
- Price& payment
2.1. Price
For each room, the rental price is indicated in euros and includes tax (the current VAT rate is 20%).
The applicable price is that indicated on the site on the date of the reservation by the customer.
2.2. Payment
The payment is made in euros exclusively and will not be considered definitive until after the total amount has been received and processed by SAS JEAN DE BRUGES.
The methods of payment accepted are cheques and bank cards.
In the event of payment by cheque, the reservation will only be processed upon receipt of the cheque, and it will become final after the cheque has been successfully banked.
Regarding payments by bank card, only cards bearing the initials CB (except American Express) are accepted, cards bearing the brand ‘VISA’
EUROCARD’ or ‘MASTERCARD’ are accepted in France.
The hotel uses the ‘reservit.com’ payment service, which is a booking portal for accommodation. This online payment system is a 3D Secure system.
Confidential data relating to the payment method is not accessible by the hotel but managed directly by the payment service.
2.3. Billing
Whichever payment method is used, the customer receives their bill on the day of departure from the hotel.
- Cancellation of the reservation
3.1. Cancellation by the customer
Any cancellation must be made in writing via email.
Amounts due:
- Cancellation more than 2 days before the date of the room reservation will give rise to the payment of 50% of the total amount of the reservation;
- Cancellation fewer than 2 days before the date of the room reservation will give rise to the payment of the total amount of the reservation.
In case of no show at the hotel, the total amount of the reservation is due.
3.2. Cancellation by the hotelier – Force majeur
In the event of force majeure, in particular any claim affecting the hotel, whatever its origin (fire, flood, power cuts, natural disaster, administrative decision, etc.) which would result in the total or partial closure of the establishment, a postponement of stay under the same conditions will be offered, on the dates determined by mutual agreement between the parties.
Failing to opt for the postponement, the stay will be cancelled and any deposit paid will be returned without any other compensation.
- Right of withdrawal
In accordance with article L.121-21-8 12° in French law, the right of withdrawal does not apply to the provision of accommodation services (hotel, hotel residence…).
- Applicable law & Jurisdiction
The contractual relations between SAS JEAN DE BRUGES and its customers are governed by French law. The courts with jurisdiction over the registered office of SAS JEAN DE BRUGES are exclusively competent and for private customers, the rules of the Code of Civil Procedure apply.
